Miss Eleanor Ruth Vance, age 19, of McEwen, TN passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on June 12, 2006, in Dickson, TN to David Lynn and Sarah Collins Vance. Eleanor was a vibrant sophomore at Austin Peay State University, majoring in animal science. She loved horseback riding, painting watercolors of local landscapes, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. Her bright smile and fierce kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Woods Funeral Home, 10487 Bold Springs Rd, McEwen, Tennessee. Father Vimal Backiyaraj will deliver the eulogy.
Interment will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery, McEwen, Tennessee.
